What is a one line a day journal?
It is a daily diary built from one short entry per day. In Linewell, you write a sentence of up to 280 characters. You choose what to remember: a moment, a feeling, a conversation or something you are grateful for.
Can I use Linewell as a gratitude journal?
Yes. Write one thing you appreciated today. You can turn on optional prompts for ideas, or use the space for any reflection you want to keep. Try the example prompts in the journaling guide.
Does the diary work offline?
Writing and reading your entries work offline. Internet access is needed to download the app and purchase or restore Premium. Linewell does not sync your journal to its own cloud.
Is Linewell free, or is there a subscription?
Daily entries, history, prompts, reminders and text export are free. Premium is a single optional purchase for extra themes, PDF books and JSON backup and restore. There is no subscription.
Can I edit yesterday's entry?
You can correct an existing entry on its date and the following calendar day. Older entries stay as written. You can delete an entry from History at any time; Linewell does not let you fill in missed days.
How do I keep a copy of my diary?
Save a free plain-text export from Settings. With Premium, you can also save a PDF keepsake or a JSON backup that can be restored in Linewell. Store your backup somewhere safe before changing devices. Read the backup and restore help.
